Sausage or Ham Breakfast Casserole

This is great for family gatherings. Just don't expect to come home with leftovers. :o)

1 stick butter (I do about 3/4 stick)
32 oz. pkg frozen hash browns
1 dozen eggs
1 cup milk
Salt and Pepper
2 cups shredded cheese
2 cups or more diced ham or browned sausage

Melt butter in 9x13 pan or baking dish. Spread 3/4 of the hash browns in pan. Slightly beat eggs. Add milk, cheese, meat, salt and pepper: gently mix and pour over hash browns. Top with remaining hash browns. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees if everything is thawed before cooking. If not, add another 15 minutes or so.
